‘Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!’

iArtDaily Challenge Day 6: What do you envision?

Here’s the prompt:

“Envision the life you want then head in that direction each day through the goals you set and the actions you take.” ~ LeAura Alderson, author, podcaster, entrepreneur, co-founder-iCreateDaily

My birthday was Thursday; I turned 63. I’m also still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. ☺️ I’m learning that I’m not unusual in this.

The photo for today, which I played with only slightly in PicsArt, is of a perfect little nest I discovered on the ground a couple of weeks ago. I had just buried my cat, Mitchell, and had already seen a small snake about a foot away. I thought that odd, in winter. It was a feisty little garner snake, which struck out to try to attack when I bent low to take the photo with my phone. From what I read, this means it was a juvenile. Adults usually bolt.

This is the “before” pic.

And this is the “after.”

For me it symbolizes a need to have both a safe refuge where I can birth and nurture new ideas and the wings to take the risk to fly with them. Either one by itself is foolhardy.

Here’s one more, a bit whimsical. I love the colors in this one.

Henry David Thoreau said, “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. …” Tomorrow is day 7 of this challenge. I’m building stamina for the journey!

  1. What better than a nest to hold our dreams while they grow? I am continually reinvesting in my “nest”and requiring it to change, to accommodate, to reflect right along with myself! Happy 63rd, you young whipper snapper! May the best be yet to come!
