#iArtDaily Challenge Day 17
Last August I pulled a couple of stray milkweed plants growing in a crack between cement blocks that form the patio, and threw them on a pile of brush to compost. A few days later I noticed these two Monarch caterpillars munching away on the cracked-open pods.
Today’s prompt is:
“You are the potter of your life, shaped by choices, ‘thrown’ on the wheel of making and set in the fires of daily doing.” ~ LeAura Alderson, author, entrepreneur, cofounder-iCreateDaily
I’m not exactly sure why this photo seemed well suited to the prompt. I doubt there’s much choice-making in the lives of these two. The caterpillar just does what it does. But I believe in destiny and in fulfilling our purpose.
The caterpillars will become beautiful butterflies flying free, because that is what they were created to be. Through our own brave choosing, making and doing we fulfill our destinies, too — to be our best, beautiful, beloved, passionate and creative selves.
Hmm How did you change the color of the pods and leave the cats as they were designed by Ma Nature?????????
