Transcend

Today’s prompt:

I took this photo last fall in my backyard under the oak tree. As near as I can tell it is a Russula rugulosa, faded by rain and sunlight.

Mushrooms are amazing creatures, with so many health properties (the non-poisonous ones anyway!); and even though they are rather fragile, they possess the ability to thrive where other plants don’t: often where it’s dark and damp. They’re beautiful, too.
