The grateful heart

#iArtDaily Challenge Day 30 … and done!

Today’s prompt:

There is so much to be grateful for today. The windchill here in West Michigan is -24 degrees, and I am hunkered down in my bedroom under three blankets and with a space heater going. I have vegetable pea soup simmering on the stove, a good book to read and writing to do.

I am lucky. I don’t often stop to think much about how privileged I am to have the life I do, but today I am grateful.

As this 30-day challenge comes to a close, I am especially grateful for its gift. I have found the path back to creating, thanks to LeAura and Devani at www.icreatedaily.com. I have found the courage to just do it, to share it with other creatives, and to revel in the thumbs-ups and hearts … although it’s always (still) with a surprised and pleased heart. “You like it? Really?”

I am grateful for the supportive community of #iArtDaily, and also for my local community of writers who have urged me forward in this journey, some of them encouraging me to go on for another 30 days.

Because I am still building this “muscle,” I will. Just pondering a theme. Thoughts?
