Life is in the details

Day 2

“Art is born in attention. Its midwife is detail.” ~ Julia Cameron, American artist, author and teacher

Prompt: What does attention reveal?

So the iCreateDaily for Creators challenge for today was about paying attention and noticing.

I started by taking a couple of photos of tissue paper balls (in shades of pink, for my newest grandbaby, coming this spring).

After playing with them in PicsArt, I really liked the one below, turned sideways to create an ocean and sky at sunrise. Then I paired it with a perfect quote.

“This morning the sun made me adore it. It had, behind the dripping pine trees, the oriental brightness, orange and crimson, of a living being, a rose and an apple, in the physical and ideal fusion of a true and daily paradise.” ~ Juan Ramón Jiménez

Am I cheating by using technology? It does help me to create beauty inspired by a real object in life. If that’s not art, what is?

  1. You are an artist, with words and photography, both of which use technical tools to aid in the process. You have accessed another area of creativity,to explore and develop. Use whatever devices or tools you need to see where it goes. This is another door, opened in pursuit of creativity! Congratulations! 👏👍
